Why are colours so critical to consider carefully when designing a room?
Besides the fact that colour creates a certain vibe and feeling in a room, colour also represents certain qualities. This means that every time to apply a colour to a room you are applying a quality to the room and therefore the people using the room.
Is light not just light? Isn't it just a matter of having enough light?
The closer you can come to natural lighting the longer and more effectively you can work. Light from energy saving light bulbs and fluorescent light is useful as orientation lighting but if you wish to perform concentrated work tasks, you need a light that helps you stay focused in the same way that you would if you wanted to bring attention and focus to e.g. a painting, a sign or an area.
Isn't it more expensive to use quality and healthy lighting?
With the advent of new technologies, light sources on the market today (e.g. new low energy lighting and diode lighting) combined with efficient application, you can increase the positive influence of your lighting while decreasing your energy costs.
Why is it called “Human-Centred” Design?
When designing space for people is it very important to know how people are affected by the design. It is of course important that the space looks good; however a room can look good, but not feel good after periods of time. It may also not provide the ideal scene for performance e.g. for a work environment where you are expected to be inspired and productive. We are specialists on how people are affected by the combination of colour, lighting, layout and material used in the chosen design!
What is “Signal Value”?
Your business Signal Value is in a way its body language to which we all subconsciously react. Your clients or anyone else who enters your space reads your “body language” which has a direct effect on their perception of your company. That is why it is crucial that there is synergy and consistency in how your company is preceived including how and what you signal with your space.
